Age Concern had a very successful time at The Foreign Residents Day held in the Palacio de Congresos on Sunday 14th April. Two stands were run – a tombola and a clothes rail. Both were popular and all of the money raised will go to support the volunteers who work with older people in the community.
Age Concern is a charity whose aim is to support older people and help them remain full members of society. People do not like thinking or talking about getting older and the problems they may face, but it comes to everyone and having volunteers who can provide advice, information and help directly to individuals is a vital service. Thanks therefore to our volunteers who ran the stands, and to all supported us at The Foreign Residents Day.
