Age Concern Fuengirola y Mijas – Drop-In Centre Change

Welcome to Age Concern Fuengirola y Mijas.

As we approach the end of another busy but thrilling year it is important that the Committee review whether the facilities we use are still appropriate for our growing numbers.

The comfort and welfare of our clients has always been paramount. However, in recent times the main client feedback has included problems arising from the lack of disabled toilet facilities and the absence of air conditioning.

We have taken all this on board and realise that the Manila bar is no longer able to meet the needs of our clients at this moment in time, though there are plans to address these concerns. This is good news and means that we are able to keep our future options open.

Meanwhile we have to accept the reality that Age Concern Fuengirola y Mijas have outgrown our present arrangements and although it is sad to say farewell (but NOT goodbye, as we may well return) we will be relocating at the end of our regular meeting on Thursday, 1st of December .

WE ARE MOVING  just 5 minutes up the road to the Pensioners facilities above the small indoor market just around the corner from Los Boliches station.

Having checked out the premises and spoken with Carmen who looks after things this venue has the “wow” factor. Our meeting room is light and airy and situated on the first floor with easy wide lift access that can easily accommodate pedestrians, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

There is a modern kitchen attached and friendly staff on hand. This venue has quality disabled toilet facilities built to a standard we know our clients should have – and with pensioner prices on food and drink we believe this new drop-in centre ticks all the boxes.

This will be our new home from THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8th commencing at 11.00am.

If you have questions or require any clarification please speak to one of the Committee Members or call our LIFELINE on 652537615.
