INFORMATION

agencia tributariaAs you will have seen in the press recently ,if you reside in Spain for more than 183 days in a year, you are automatically classed as a resident, for tax purposes, and as a consequence your worldwide income must be taxed in Spain. This includes your pension.

Therefore, if you are retired and haven’t presented a tax declaration yet in Spain, you have until the end of June 2015 to do so, without receiving any penalties or interest.

With the closer exchange of information between the various European Tax authorities, it has made the Spanish Treasury aware of how many foreign pensioners do not pay tax at all on their foreign pensions here, or do not do it according to the rules.

Therefore, if you are in any doubt, it is in your own interest to check with a Gestoria.

DRIVING LICENSES

drivers licenseIf you were legally resident in Spain before January 2013 you should have changed your English licenses to a Spanish one.

If your license has expired, or is due to expire, you must renew it in the country of residence.

You can get more information by following N332.es which is run by a group of Spanish Traffic Police Officers who provide motoring advice in English.

thankyouEaster Fayre. We must thank Margaret Nawaz and her team of helpers for the very generous donation following this event.

Bingo. A very successful afternoon was held at The Olive Tree for a last minute arranged Bingo. The format was slightly different this time and seemed to go down very well. Thanks must go to Roland, Anna and their staff for the delicious refreshments (cakes to die for!). Thanks also to President Tony and Josie for being the callers. FUTURE EVENTS

Social Activities IconAs we have advised previously 2016 will be the 21st Anniversary of the formation of Age Concern Ibiza and Formentera. It is the intention of the Committee to hold something to celebrate this event. Enquiries are in hand for a suitable venue possibly in June and as soon as more information is to hand publicity will be given to this event. It is hoped that as many of you as possible will attend to make this a very special time for Age Concern Ibiza and Formentera.

The format of the occasion has yet to be clarified but you can rest assured it will be worth all the planning!

And finally: ‘A good cup of tea warms the soul like a good friend.’
