If it weren’t for Age Concern‚ I wouldn’t be here. They have taken me to hospital and translated for me. I’ve only got to ring them – fantastic service. David (partially sighted)
Age Concern has been very good. I’ve never been turned down when I’ve asked for help for my husband or myself. Ismay

Just to say thank you for your help. I am sure you make a lot of people feel they always have someone to talk to. Keep up the good work. Sue
Mission
Age Concern España works to promote the well-being of all older people‚ helping to make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for everyone. We aim to secure a positive role in society for the older generation and provide direct services for those in need.
There are a significant number of older people living in Spain for whom English is their first or second language. Age Concern España is in a unique position to provide support to these people through its large network of English speaking volunteers. We are also committed to integration in Spain and are developing stronger links with Spanish organisations.

History Age Concern was established in Spain in 1994 and developed from an organisation called O.A.S.I.S.‚ based in the Balearics. Initially known as Age Concern Spain (Baleares) it developed with the active support of Age Concern England.
Increasingly closer ties with like-minded organisations throughout Spain and the development of the organisation in the Spanish Islands led to the creation of Age Concern groups in Ibiza‚ Mallorca and Menorca and a nationwide Federation.
In 1998 this federation became known as Age Concern España and the number of local organisations within it continues to grow.
