Age Concern Menorca was founded in 1994 as part of Age Concern Espana. We are based in Mahon but our geographical are encompasses the whole island.
When we started the primary objective was to assist the British over 50’s to integrate into the Spanish community.
Things have moved on since the initial concept and we now try to assist all nationalities who apply to us for assistance. We work mainly with Social Services in at least four areas and with the Honorary British Consul providing food and essential day to day items for those in need.
We as a charity do not obtain any funding from AgeUK or any government source; all of our funds are raised through fund raising events, donations, Friend’s of Age Concern subscriptions or from the profits from our shop (after we have paid all our due IVA and taxes!).

All people who assist Age Concern are volunteers and do not receive payment, however, to comply with the law we have to employ a shop manager. Our shop manager is Carol Kenyon and she is based in our Mahon Age Concern Centre.
Visit our Centre and shop at Calle Artrutx, Puerta D, Poligono Mahon (near to Lidl) to purchase good quality second hand clothing, household goods, books and furniture and come and join us as a volunteer or a ‘friend’.
